It's compact enough, being that it's sized as a tote bag, but the shoulder strap option works best for me, and it's included with the bag, as well, for that matter. Such a small and compact bag with so much room absolutely love it for my everyday essentials at work

I have this bag in 4 different fabrics. They are sturdy and for their size hold everything I need. Commuting by public transportation the zipper pocket on the flap is perfect for my tap pass, it also has a zipper pocket inside the bag. As a vegetarian I don't buy leather but, these bags are better, fashionable, compact and last a long time. Bought 3 at Macy's and the most recent here. It won't be my last.
