I have a couple pairs of the original version of these (with no ankle strap) and I wear them all the time . . . love them. However, I wanted a pair more securely affixed to my feet for walking all day on cobblestones and up and down lots of steps. These are not those. The ankle strap is there just to give a hint of the gladiator look, not to hold your foot in. Yes, the shoes would stay on if you tried to kick them off, but the straps don’t really hold the shoe to your foot. They are just as floppy/flappy when I walk at the originals, and not as flattering.

I absolutely love the purse it has style and plenty of room in it. I am pleased I bought it I have received compliments with it. I recommend the purse to anyone who is looking for style and fashion plus room inside the purse.
