I love my Birkenstock, don't get me wrong. I just wish the straps were a little bit longer to fit around my ankle better. With my accident a had years ago, one of my ankles is bigger than the other, and it is hard to find sandles or shoes with straps that fit around my ankle. My work requires that sandles need to have a back or a strap, no flip flop style, incase we need to run after children. Lol! I know it is leather and it will stretch, but until then, I think it will fit a lot better, and won't look like it hurts. True to size tho, I wear a 8 1/2 and a 39 fits great.

I am a faithful birks girl because I have plantar fasciitis and can only wear birks. You can’t go wrong with these! The oiled brown leather birks with brassy gold buckles are so perfect for every wardrobe! They go with absolutely everything! Cute enough to wear to work. I’m a size 8.5-9 and the 39 fit perfectly! I just received a new tablet, so I needed a bag, in order to have the tablet ready, for when I need to take a photograph, for example. This bag suits my needs just great! It's compact enough, being that it's sized as a tote bag, but the shoulder strap option works best for me, and it's included with the bag, as well, for that matter.
