I originally ordered the Yara sandal in a size 39R because it said it would fit a US Women's size 9, but it was huge! I gave it to my cousin who is a size 10 and it fit her perfectly. I bought it again in the 38R and it fits perfectly! I have a bit of a wide foot, so it works for me. This is my first real pair of Birkenstocks, but after the breaking-in period, it's the most comfortable show I own, outside of my running shoes. I ordered a 9.5 wide which is my normal size, and they fit just right! The only thing to note is that the shoes stain easily, but are easy to clean.
