I didn't have a painful breaking in period with these. They were a little stiffer for a couple of days and then they just hug my feet like they love me or something. I have kind of big feet and it's hard to find cute sandals that are also comfy and I can actually live and walk around in, but these fit the bill. They are super cute even in a bigger size. I walk/ride a bike everywhere I go and they are sturdy and comfy even after a whole day in them. SMOOCH! I say to these shoes.

Giving high stars still as I believe they're a good & useful product based on having a different style of Birkenstock Evas.Probably best to order down a size. (FYI, might also want to watch for if you're ordering a Narrow vs Regular/wide).Thought I would get 38 when ordering 8-8.5 (but got an unwanted 39; even seems a bit big for the stated 8-8.5). It would REALLY help if the EURO sizes were choices when ordering (NOT some supposed US equivalent). So, I'm ordering a "7-7.5" from this product posting to HOPEFULLY get a product labeled with euro size 38...

One of my two favorite Birkenstock styles, in the most beautiful red leather. I will be wearing them a LOT. As in my other Birkenstocks, I go down a size, and they fit and feel great.

Overall, the item was nice but doesn’t lock because as shown on the picture, the locks are the same buttons. I think, it should be a hole on the other side.

it is not very wide.nice and easy to modify, very light weight.good size for a purse and few items.
