The Women's Yara Oiled Leather Flat Mocha is a fashion marvel. I've never felt such a comfortable sandal that still looks classy and sophisticated. I originally ordered the Yara sandal in a size 39R because it said it would fit a US Women's size 9, but it was huge! I gave it to my cousin who is a size 10 and it fit her perfectly. I bought it again in the 38R and it fits perfectly! I have a bit of a wide foot, so it works for me. This is my first real pair of Birkenstocks, but after the breaking-in period, it's the most comfortable show I own, outside of my running shoes. The best part about the black patent is that I have been able to wear it out to dinner and nightclubs, and it feels sexy. I get compliments on these sandals all the time! A great investment for a shoe that I wear almost every day.

I have worn Birkenstock products for decades. The quality and fit have remained consistent and consistently superior to other sandals over the years. They provide excellent arch support for a flat-footed person like me and provide plenty of room for my wide feet. I can wear the sandals without orthopedic inserts -- a very rare thing for me.Because of the sizing and quality consistency I am comfortable ordering Birkenstock sandals without trying them on -- another rare thing.

I have worn one pair of Birkenstock sandals for over 10 years and finally replaced them. The old pair I am considering having refurbished since the straps are still in great shape.I just bought these for my son and they are made as well as the two pairs that I have owned. I was apprehensive in purchasing the Birkibuc sandals, but they seem to be made very well.The only problem that I have with these sandals is in trying to find the correct size. It is a lot of trial and error. The European sizing chart is way off from my own experience and now with trying to find the correct size for my son. He wears a size 11 shoe and the 43 is way to big, so I got the 42 and it is too big. I just ordered a 41 and am hoping that it will fit him or I will have to return another pair!
