They provide excellent arch support for a flat-footed person like me and provide plenty of room for my wide feet. I can wear the sandals without orthopedic inserts -- a very rare thing for me.Because of the sizing and quality consistency I am comfortable ordering Birkenstock sandals without trying them on -- another rare thing.

Since these shipped from Germany, the package took 19 days to arrive at my door. In fact, I had momentarily forgotten about ordering them. So when I heard the knock at the door, it was a very nice surprise to see a Birks shoe box in the hands of my mail lady. But that moment of excitement was nothing compared to the joy of slipping my feet into these luscious shoes and wearing them for the next 6 hours. They are a perfect fit, and my feet are SO happy right now! I'm happy that I was able to find a pair that I loved in the right size for such a great price. They look exactly like the picture, so they're great with jeans (which I wear almost all the time.) They'll look nice with skirts, too.One thing to watch out for, though. When I selected these, the page said they had free shipping. They do NOT! There was some type of error, so just be aware.

These are well made sandals and my wife says extremely comfortable. Good price for the Birkenstock brand of shoes.
