I didn't have a painful breaking in period with these. They were a little stiffer for a couple of days and then they just hug my feet like they love me or something. I have kind of big feet and it's hard to find cute sandals that are also comfy and I can actually live and walk around in, but these fit the bill. They are super cute even in a bigger size.
